Rat Tissue Frozen Microarrays
Zyagen offers a wide variety of rat frozen tissue microarrays. Tissue microarrays are derived from tissue blocks subjected to rigorous quality control procedures to ensure the highest quality. Arrays enable high throughput screening of large number of tissue specimens by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.
Analysis of protein and mRNA expression using tissue microarrays is accurate and consistent since all tissues in each array slide are manually prepared under the same conditions. Each array contains sections of 3-5mm in diameter allowing large area of tissue to be morphologically evaluated in comparison with 0.6-2 mm sized tissue microarrays.
Different Sprague Dawley rat tissues are harvested within 5 to 10 min of animal death, snapped frozen, manually assembled in one block and sectioned at a thickness of 7-10microns. Sections are mounted on positively charged slides. Tissue morphology of each array is evaluated every 50th section by H&E staining.
Frozen tissue microarray slides are shipped on dry ice in sealed boxes and can be used within one year if properly stored at -80oC.
