Zyagen offer paraffin sagittal sections containing most rat brain major regions from olfactory bulb to cerebellum. Brains are fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin, processed for paraffin embedding, sectioned in sagittal orientation at the medline at a thickness of 5 microns, and sections mounted on positively charged slides. Each slide contains 2-3 sections. Paraffin sections are shipped in tightly closed slide boxes or slide mailers at room temperature. Brain paraffin sagittal sections of rats perifused with 4% paraformeldehyde are also available upon request. Sections are made under RNase and protease-free conditions and are ideal for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.
